Prince of Peace offers several ways to gladly serve and praise the Lord along with other members!

Committees and Organizations

              Agape Groups
Every Prince of Peace member is assigned to an Agape Group under the direction of an elder. Agape Groups are encouraged to meet for community
building, service and fellowship in God's Word. Agape groups are at the heart of our congregational effort to grow stronger in our loving relationships.

            Altar Guild
The Altar Guild prepares the communion ware and altar for our Worship Services. They are also in charge of banners. Guild members are on duty for a
month at a time, and the group meets two or three times a year.

             Fellowship Committee
The Fellowship Committee plans and hosts fellowship meals and other fun family events.

             Martha’s Hands
This is a service organization that exists to serve the various boards and committees of the church. Any member of the Congregation can participate in
Martha’s hands. Their Goal is to quietly support the life of the congregation as the need arrises.

Worship Service Volunteer Opportunites

                Ushers and Greeters
Each Worship Service is staffed by two ushers and two greeters. We are always in need of volunteers for these important responsibilities!

               Banner Making
This is a group for people who like to sew. A variety of banners add so much to our worship experience!

                Money Counters

Members who volunteer to count our offering money are scheduled on a monthly basis. Money counting is done after the worship service each Sunday.
Please contact the church office to volunteer to be a counter.

Adult Bible Classes

             Sunday Morning Bible Class
Our Sunday morning adult class meets from 10:40 - 11:30. Topics vary throughout the year.

              Tuesday Women's Study
Our women’s Bible Study meets three Tuesday evenings each month at 7:15 at Debbie Dunnum’s house.

               Wednesday Morning Study
This pastor-led study meets at church on Wednesdays from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m., using a “book method” approach. As we read together through a Bible
book, we stop to discuss what we’re reading and what that means for our lives.

               Men of Peace
Our men's Bible breakfast meets every Saturday morning from 7:00 to 8:30 at Features restaurant in West Salem.

               Saturday Women’s Study
"Great Women of the Bible" Saturday 9:30 am at Panera in Onalaska. This study is open to all Ladies in all stages of life.

Christian Education Programs

               Kingdom Quest
This is high impact discipleship, with a strong focus on teaching and applying the Word of God. Kingdom Quest meets every Sunday during the school
year after the worship service and fellowship.

                Vacation Bible School
Our Vacation Bible School is organized during the summer as a one-week event, typically held the second week of August.

                 Confirmation Class
Our Confirmation class is for young people and their parents beginning with 6th grade students. The purpose of the class is to prepare students to
receive the Lord's Supper and become active participants in the Mission and Ministry of Christ's Church. Confirmation class meets on Wednesday
nights from 5:30 to 7:00 during the school year.

                “Lutheran Basics”
"Lutheran Basics" is our class for adults who want to investigate our basic beliefs. There is no obligation to join the church if you take the class - it's
also a great refresher if it’s been a while since you’ve investigated our basic teachings. The 12 week class meets two or three times every year
                             depending on level of interest.

Youth Ministry  TGIF (Teens Growing In Faith)
Our POP Youth study takes place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 6:30 to 8:00. The youth are also invited to attend larger events as
scheduled. Check out the Facebook group "Prince of Peace Youth Group" for details.
